- It is free, you do not need to pay or use any insurance if you use the SF City test. Here is the map link https://datasf.org/covid19-testing-locations/ to make an appointment.
- Many locations are available including the Embarcadero and Union Square areas, some you can drive through or walk. You can also expand your search with insurance, no insurance options etc in the link.
- For example, the easiest flow for us was Embarcadero SF City Test location->Provide a Zip for SF residence (do not need full address)-> No Insurance -> Decline answer for employer-> No need to share with provider->Make an appointment even for same day.
- With SF City Test the appointments are same day, do not need insurance, no referral needed and you should get the results within 24 hours, often earlier. Other locations seem to take a longer time.
- One Medical Group has same day appointments available if you sign up on their app for their free trial of 30 days, which some patients have also liked. https://www.onemedical.com/covid-19-testing-locations/addresses/
- UCSF, NEMS, Sutter Health and other locations just need you to register as a patient testing is free.

- Here is a map with all free testing sites. Please enter your address to filter it. There are many locations that do not need doctor prescription to go in, please pick those.
